Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jeff Healey performed this song on the Canadian show It’s Only Rock & Roll! Vaughan met Healey for the first time when he arrived in Toronto to do the show and was introduced to the Canadian guitarist by the producers.

Your information is wrong. Stevie Ray Vaughn was introduced to Jeff Healey by Albert Collins in July 1985 when they jammed together at Albert’s Hall in Toronto. I know; I was there.
It might be. I was going by what one of the show’s producers had said. I’ve also seen claims that Healey was “discovered” by Vaughan at 15, which would make it 1981-82.
just stumbled across this site again doing a Google search – I was there the night the two guitar virtuosos met – it was in July 1985 – Jeff was 19 at the time – I gave SRV ticket number 1 for Jeff’s upcoming show at Larry’s Hideaway, which was recorded for “New Music”
just came across this again – I think SRV might have met Colin James when HE was only about 15, cause they had met long before Jeff Healey was introduced
